1986 - 1989 Zildjian Amir II cymbals were lathed. Like most sheet bronze (B8 alloy) cymbals, they were stamped from a uniform sheet of metal, pressed into a rough shape, machine-hammered, but then processed on a lathe to refine their thickness, weight, and bright, cutting sound. They are somewhat lighter in weight than Amir I cymbals and more similar in sound to other lathed Zildjian cymbals like the A line.

I believe it’s early 1900’s and with Chicago on the badge perhaps a custom drum from a Ludwig or Slingerland employee?
