For our purposes we use these four category definitions:
Independent Drum Builder = One man operation building/assembling custom and boutique instruments for sale direct to customers.
Small Drum Company = (Company means more than one, folks!) One or more employees building production models and custom models, selling direct to customers and to a small number of dealers and/or distributors
Major Manufacturer = Many employees producing mostly stock models on an assembly line, international brand presence with many retail dealers
Supplier - Retail or wholesale supplier of parts, tools or services to drum builders, small companies, or large manufacturers.
