New Drum Wrap Manufacturer in Canada
Although the folks operating Walopus Drum Wrap have been producing drum wrap for the better part of a decade, it has been on a very limited scale. Before 2015 production was limited to a few designs in small quantities for a handful of drum enthusiasts local to the Greater Toronto area.
During the course of the last five years the folks at Walopus have perfected their formula to produce the most flexible, durable, gleaming and lustrous drum wrap possible.
As of 2015 Walopus has opened a website with an online ordering system and expanded its manufacturing capabilities. The online catalogue has grown to over 50 drum wrap designs, most of which are unique to Walopus. the Categories span from Traditional Sparkles to Pearls, Glitters, Wood Grains, Unique and Economy. Except for the Economy variety, all designs are priced the same.
Unlike most wrap manufacturers Walopus offers it's products in either pre-cut pieces for standard drum sizes, or as traditional "full sheets". The pre-cut sizes include pieces large enough to cover a 24" bass drum with a single piece of wrap.
All of Walopus' designs are available in "Standard thickness" which is in the neighbourhood of 20 mil / 0.5 mm, or about the thickness of a credit card. Some are also available in an extra thick gauge which is roughly double that of the standard gauge.
Walopus is a family owned and operated company. The products are hand-made in a purpose-built manufacturing facility in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga. All raw materials used are sourced from Canada and USA.
Walopus ships it's product world wide with most customers residing in the US and Canada.
