My Memphis Ducos

November 26, 2019 George Lawrence
PART_1451675525445_IMAG0087.jpg

I received this email from Patrick in 2016.
”These are my put together Memphis Ducos. 1949 BD,  1973 12", 1965 9x13.  The kit you've shared is the first drums I played on.  They were my neighbors across the street from me in east Los Angeles.  I would borrow them to rehearse my rock band, move them on a red wagon to rehearse at the guitarist carport.  When I got my first gig, he did not let me use them.  So I rented what I think was a swirl wrapped Gretsch.  Thank for reading.  I got 7-kits now.  DW, Ludwigs, Tamas, Yamahas, Pearl, MIJ bass drum found in trash-restored by me.  I play every week, many styles, yes.  I'm a literate musician.

Blessings y'all, Patrick D. Tavarez”
