Press Release! Drum Channel Releases "The Buddy Rich Show" on DVD and digital

New Project Features 3-Hours Of “Never Before Seen” Content.

(Editor’s Note: I was sent the digital copy of this for review. Excellent, excellent, excellent. New Buddy Rich chops for everyone to digest. The band is on fire. Mel Torme steals the show as always. Definitely worth buying. A must have for Buddy Rich fans. )

Often called “the world’s greatest drummer” by music critics and music lovers as well as his peers, Buddy Rich consistently sold out tours, recorded with top artists, appeared on popular TV shows and won polls and awards around the world. No other drummer came close to Buddy’s fame, accomplishments and drumming skills.

In 1982—at the height of his popularity and influence— Buddy hosted and played in three live TV specials that featured the legendary drummer as the world had never seen him. The shows included classic performances of nearly two dozen jazz standards by Buddy with his big band and musical guests Ray Charles, Mel Torme, Lionel Hampton, Stan Getz, Woody Herman and Gerry Mulligan. But, unfortunately, “The Buddy Rich Show” never aired and remained unseen for the past 37 years.

Now, thanks to Drum Channel, all three of the incredible shows are available on the new DC DVD and Digital Download, “THE BUDDY RICH SHOW: NEVER BEFORE SEEN”. Visit the Drum Channel Store today to see Buddy at his best and own a piece of music history!
