We welcome Jim Pettit to Not So Modern Drummer as a regular columnist about vintage drums and other related subjects. Jim is well known in the vintage drum world. This is the first of what we hope will be many articles featuring his collection at the Memphis Drum shop. Jim’s websites are www.memphisdrumshop.com, www.mycymbal.com, and www.memphisgongchamber.com

Here's a beautiful Rogers Red Oynx kit that was found in a barn complete with Zildjian cymbals, Swiv-o-matic hardware and a custom painted set of Humes & Berg Fibre Cases to match the kit!

The kit is very clean and the cymbals are very hip for today's player - 15" New Beats, 18" Thin Crash, and 22" Deep Ride.

In Vintage Drums, Jim Pettit Tags Rogers, Dynasonic, Swivomatic, red onyx
