Hi all,

These three drums were ordered at the 2007 Chicago Vintage Drum Show. Master drum craftsman Johnny Craviotto (Craviotto Drums) teamed up with master drum craftsman Adrian Kirchler (AK Drums) to create the Craviotto Drums/AK Drums Diamond Series snare drums.

2007 CRAVIOTTO DRUMS/AK DRUMS *4 x 14 NICKEL PLATED/GOLD PLATED DIAMOND SERIES #01/01

2007 CRAVIOTTO DRUMS/AK DRUMS **5 x 14 NICKEL PLATED/GOLD PLATED DIAMOND SERIES #00/50

2007 CRAVIOTTO DRUMS/AK DRUMS **6.5 x 14 NICKEL PLATED/GOLD PLATED DIAMOND SERIES #00/50

The original run was 50 5 x 14 and 50 6.5 x 14 snare drums. Johnny was a good friend of mine so I asked him if he would ok a 4 x 14 version. He agreed and coordinated this with Adrian Kirchler and #01/01 was created for me.

** The original run was 50 5 x 14 and 50 6.5 x 14 snare drums that were to be numbered 01/50, 02/50 etc. I asked for a few changes on my 5 x 14 and 6.5 x 14 drums: 1. A matching larger engraved CUROTTO diamond below the larger engraved CRAVIOTTO diamond. 2. Engraved CUROTTO on the bottom rim matching the engraved CRAVIOTTO on the top rim. 3. Since this was a special order Johnny decided that the numbering would be 00/50 for both drums.

THE SHELLS:

The heavy brass shells are satin nickel plated with polished nickel engraved diamonds in every panel.

THE HARDWARE:

The hardware is gold plated. The top and bottom rims are also engraved. The trick strainer would not fit on the 4 x 14 so AK made his own P338 for the 4 x 14 snare and as a final touch, added an engraved MC on top of the thumbscrew.

These three drums sound great and are great player drums. I gigged on these drums and now they are in my drum studio for students to use.

Enjoy!
