I'm a veteran Canadian drummer that played professionally, recorded, toured and was featured in 5 music videos in the 90's in the rock and blues genre.
I'm also a collector of vintage Ludwig drums.
I just purchased a rare snare drum from Olympic Drums in Portland Oregon. It's a WMP, 5x14, 1929 Ludwig & Ludwig New Era wood snare drum. That's the snare drum that came with 2 internal snare wire units and was discontinued after one year! I've seen a couple of these drums made of brass but I haven’t seen another wood one except the incomplete one Bob Campbell has. Mine is totally intact although one of the internal snare wire units was made by Mike Currotto.
