An amazing early vintage Drum Dealer item just arrived at my studio thanks to a friend who was selling his incredible collection. Very early Leedy Drums MFG. CO. “Cymbal Tryout Stand” for POS (point of sale) Leedy Drum Dealer countertop use and display. It’s a heavy small beast measuring 10” high with the base being 6” wide and 1/2” thick solid metal. It states on the stand “use Zenjian cymbals” so that’s what’s on it now, an original era correct Zenjian. I have never seen another. It may be the only still in existence. Considering it made it through the WWII metal drives is astounding in of itself.
Extremely cool.
Stay tuned…
