The tone provided by these birch shells is second to none.

10”, 12”, 13”, 14” Short Toms, 14”, 16”, 18” Floors, 4.5” x 14” Snare, 2 x 22” Bass.

TAMA changed the game when they came out with these drums. This was the first high end set manufactured to specs of perfection.

Before these drums the interiors and bearing edges of most drums were not what you would call to the highest standards. The interior of these drums, the bearing edges and the outer shell are pure perfection, they feel like glass everywhere you run your finger, there is not a single rough spot, gap, glue, bump, separation or ripple anywhere.

Being Pre-Artstar, TAMA changed the game and gave every other company something to aspire to or get left behind.

This set was custom ordered by the original owner whom I purchased them from. He is still with us and a really great guy. I have all the original receipts, paperwork, photos, tags…and everything that came with the set.

Sheer beauty in looks and sound.

Stay tuned…

(editor’s note- I can attest to the superior sound and construction quality of the Tama Superstar drums. Keith Carlock bought a set of them from my drum shop in Mississippi when he was in high school. I and everyone that worked at the drum shop drooled over those drums.)
