Sorry for the late April Issue. Life happens and gets in the way. Seems like I bite off more than I can chew these days.
Thanks to Drumming News Network for the article about me and my new video series shot at Memphis Drum Shop. Read about it here.
I nearly shut down DrumSellers.com last week because of the lack of sales this year. Since the first of this year the 4% commissions have not met operating expenses, which is only $200 a month. A good friend of mine talked me out of it and we are going to figure out a way to get it back up to speed. I know times are tough and people are tightening their belts because of economic fear. I get it. Drums are not essential items. They are luxuries. Eggs are essential. Ebay’s and Reverb’s drum sales are down too. What I ask you to do to help me keep it going is to join with your email at the site and receive the daily email update. I can’t tell you how many readers have told me that they look forward to that daily email of what’s new on the site. It doesn’t cost anything to look. You might see something that you want or need. And lately there have been some extremely rare premium vintage drums listed. Also, the fee for selling is only 4% and only if your item sells, which is lower than all the other musical instrument market places like Ebay and Reverb. I’m not asking you to donate or buy anything, just look at the bait! :-) . Make it a must see stop on your online drum hunting trips. Call me if you have any questions 330 338 6035.
My teaching practice has increased greatly since I decided to change the ratio of gigs to students. I just want to remind you that I teach remotely as well. I’ve been using Face Time on the computer to do this with remote students and it works well. If you are interested in studying with me, even it’s just a one off lesson, call me at 330 338 6035. I’ll teach anyone who is committed to learning and hungry to improve their drumming.
