Hey Folks, NSMD is in need of writers. Some of our writers have dropped off the map for one reason or another. It happens. I’m going to revive a category called “Show Us Your Vintage Drums”. It attracted new writers in the past. So this feature is for anyone to post pictures of their vintage drums with a description of two or three sentences. Many time those sentences become a paragraph and those paragraphs become an article. Who knows ? You might become one of our writers! Bun E. Carlos used to send a couple of pictures along with two sentences. John Aldridge and I would flesh out the rest of the article. If you post about vintage drums on Facebook, guess what? You’re a writer! Don’t worry about spelling, composition, etc. I’ll help you write it. That’s my job as editor. I’m posting the first picture with a description of just a sentence or two . If you want to submit pictures email jpegs and text to me at george@notsomoderndrummer.com. Take good pictures. Please don’t shoot your drum set from above and just show heads. No one is interested in your drum heads :-)
So, not a lot of articles this issue. I have filled in the void with items I am selling. I’ve been slowly but surely divesting myself of the inventory left from forty years in the drum shop business. There’s not that much left. I am down to a couple of dozen cymbals, a handful of snare drums and some hardware -stands, etc. As soon as I sell all that I’ll start listing parts.
You can list your drum gear for sale here too, in the classified ads. Here is the list of items for sale by our readers (and me) https://www.notsomoderndrummer.com/#/for-sale And here is the link about how to post a classified ad
Now go practice!!!
