This book is the most exhaustive and well written documenting of any drummer ever written. It’s the story of the man who conceived the modern drum set as we know it, and led the way for us all to play drum solos and be in the spotlight. More then just a biography, it is an impressive and thorough researching of all aspects of Krupa’s life, career and music. This is one of those thick books that is chock full of info, stories, pictures, and quotes from famous musicians that you will return to time and time again. It’s a book every drummer should read to understand the history of our art and craft. Definitely more than worth the $11 you’ll pay for it.
