Missing Rudiments: Ruffs

In researching for my Missing Rudiments book, I found many alternate stickings for ruffs. My quest for alternate stickings was motivated by a debate about ruff stickings between me and Richard Best, NSMD writer and first editor of my book. I had known them as single stroke rudiments up until then. Most of the other alternate stickings I found in two books published by Ryan Alexander Bloom; “Rudimental Grand Tour - Drumming Across 22 International Traditions” and his recent revival of Sanford Moeller’s book “Instructor In The Art of Snare Drumming”.
