The Famous Drum Company 5”x14” Hard Maple Snare Drum is a 1/4” thick, steam-bent, single-ply maple snare drum with 1/4” thick curly maple reinforcement rings. It comes in a gloss oil finish, has 45° bearing edges with a 1/8” outer round over and our standard 3/16” deep snare beds (3” flat and 2” tapers). It is outfitted with classic chrome hardware (8 die-cast lugs, vent hole, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, tension rods, strainer and adjustable tension butt plate), 16 strand stainless steel snare wires, an Evans UV1 batter head and Evans 300 snare side head.
