Even though the logo says only Amir, I believe this to be an Amir II because it is lathed on top and bottom. It might be an early one from 1986 before they started using the Amir II logo. 1986 - 1989 Zildjian Amir II cymbals were lathed. Like most sheet bronze (B8 alloy) cymbals, they were stamped from a uniform sheet of metal, pressed into a rough shape, machine-hammered, but then processed on a lathe to refine their thickness, weight, and bright, cutting sound. They are somewhat lighter in weight than Amir I cymbals and more similar in sound to other lathed Zildjian cymbals like the A line.
